Playoff volleyball roundup

D-I Volleyball
Sandusky defeated Ashland in four games to advance in the D-I Findlay District. The Blue Streaks won 14-25, 27-25, 25-23, 25-15 and will play Mansfield at 3 p.m. on Saturday for the sectional championship.
D-III Volleyball
The Wellington Dukes saw their season end with 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 loss to Villa Angela-St. Joseph in the D-III Elyria district. Brooklyn defeated Hillsdale in straight sets 25-15, 25-17, 25-9. The Hurricanes will play Elyria Catholic on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Elyria West gym.
New London defeated Ontario 25-12, 25-23, 25-12 to advance in the D-III Willard District. The Wildcats will play Bucyrus at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Port Clinton defeated Gibsonburg 25-14, 23-25, 25-14, 25-14. The Redskins will travel to Huron to take on the Tigers on Saturday at 3 p.m.
D-IV Volleyball
Open Door won the first two games against Trinity but lost the next three to lose in the first round of the D-IV Medina District. The Patriots fell 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 27-25, 15-12 to the Trojans. In the D-IV Willard District Plymouth beat Danbury 25-19, 25-23, 25-12.
The Big Red will travel to St. Paul to take on the Flyers on Saturday at 3 p.m. South Central defeated St. Mary in a very close five set match.
The Panthers rallied from two sets down to force a fifth set but fell 27-25, 26-24, 16-25, 21-25, 19-17. The Trojans will play Monroeville at 5 p.m. at St. Paul.
