Keystone can hit too

You can read about the Keystone pitching this week's Edge. The Wildcats also can hit 1 through 9 in the lineup. Nine players all with over 30 at bats are hitting over .300. The team batting average is .346 with combined 39 doubles, 20 triples and 12 home runs. Sophomore shortstop Erin Pond is hitting .453 with 30 RBI and 29 runs scored. She is a leadoff hitter with power as she has nine doubles, three triples and three home runs. Brittany Bowers is hitting .455. Conrad is hitting .410 with 24 RBI and four doubles, three triples and three home runs. Senior catcher Taylor Kessinger has four triples to go with five doubles. Alisha Silva is hitting .410 and Becky Nielsen is hitting .405. Everyone at the team with at least 35 plate appearance is hitting above .280.

“Hitting is something we worked on really hard in the offseason,” Piazza said. “We have really come on strong with production one through nine in the lineup.”
